Following our recent trip to Kirkistown at the end of June the Crowne Plaza Dundalk National Formula Vee championship rolled into Mondello Park for Round 6 on 12th July. The healthy growth of the class seen in 2014 continues with 26 cars entered and 4 new drivers making their debut.Continue reading

Following on from the success of the 2012 and 2013 events, Irish Formula Vee, in conjunction with Dunlop Tyres are holding the 2014 Irish Formula Vee Festival at Mondello Park on 12/13 July with all proceeds from the weekend going to the LauraLynn Children’s Hospice for children with life limiting conditions. Over the last two seasons, this event has grown to be the largest circuit racing event on the Mondello Park calendar with over 5000 people attending each Festival. On top of this, over €13,000 was raised for Barretstown Children’s Charity in 2012 and over €15,000 raised in 2013 for LauraLynn Children’s Hospice.

Following on from his recent double victory, reigning champion Adam Macaulay had a perfect weekend by taking pole, fastest lap and the race win at Round 4 of the Crowne Plaza Dundalk National Formula Vee Championship at Mondello Park. The Newsome Racing driver crossed the line almost 9 seconds ahead of AvantiSport Racing’s Kevin Grogan who could only manage to stick with Macaulay’s pace for the opening two laps.
